Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, is a distinguished Nigerian lawyer known for excellence in advocacy, leadership, and dedication to the legal profession. A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, he combines strong legal expertise with business insight, holding degrees from the University of Wolverhampton, University of Westminster, and an MBA from the University of South Wales.
He rose to Managing Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe and Belgore, with a practice spanning commercial litigation, arbitration, tax, constitutional law, and corporate advisory. He has represented multinational and financial institutions in complex, high-level matters.
A respected Bar leader, he served as Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch (2019–2021) and has been an active member of its National Executive Council. He also held key roles within the International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK, Nigeria Branch), where he is a Fellow and Approved Tutor.
